This Cookie Policy explains how Frontline Digital uses cookies, browser local storage and similar technologies (together, "cookies") on Counterline. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.

  1. 1. What these technologies are

    Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Local storage is a similar browser feature that keeps information on your device. Scripts and pixels from service providers can also collect information about how a page is used.

  2. 2. Strictly necessary

    These are required for the Service to work and cannot be switched off in the Service:

    • Owner sign-in session — keeps the account owner signed in.
    • Device session — remembers that a shared tablet or computer has been unlocked with the shop password, so staff don't have to re-enter it.
    • Last shop code — pre-fills the unlock screen on that device.
    • Security — helps detect abuse and protect accounts.

  3. 3. Preferences

    • Theme — remembers whether you chose light or dark mode.

  4. 4. Analytics and monitoring

    We use a first-party-operated website monitoring and analytics service to measure visits, page views, performance, uptime and errors so we can keep the Service reliable. It may collect your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referrer and timestamps. We do not use it for advertising.

  5. 5. Payments

    When you subscribe, our payment provider may set its own cookies on its checkout pages to process payment and prevent fraud. Those are governed by the provider's own policies.

  6. 6. Advertising

    We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not sell or share information for targeted advertising.

  7. 7. Your choices

    You can block or delete cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary storage will sign you out and prevent staff devices from staying unlocked. Signing out or locking a device in the Service clears its device session.

    Where the law requires consent for non-essential cookies, we will ask for it, and you may withdraw consent at any time.

    We may update this Cookie Policy as the Service changes. The "Last updated" date shows the latest version.
